Blasting Off with Homemade Spaceship, Lucid Vision, and Borahm Lee | Compose Yourself Show Review

Last Friday (01/18) at Cervantes was nothing short of incredible. The stacked lineup and dialed in performances from each artist made this night one to remember. From Borahm Lee’s melodic high pitched arpeggiators, to Lucid Vision’s guitar shredding, to Homemade Spaceship’s heavy bass drops to end the night, all the pieces were in place to […]

Last week saw the funkiest cats around, Lettuce, take over the world renowned Red Rocks Amphitheatre for their infamous Rage Rocks, making number 5 their best yet. Missing the openers Jaw Gems was seriously tragic, as I was first acquainted with this group of talent through Lettuce and have followed their growth closely; I was […]

Another Re:Search in the books: Jordan Polovina, Mikey Thunder, Daily Bread, and Toy Box at Cervantes’ Otherside | December 27th, 2017 [Show Review]

Jordan Polovina, an accomplished cellist/MC and producer, has joined the ranks of Re:Search recently and has been kicking off every Wednesday. His stunning combination of talents keep the early birds mesmerized and locked on the dance floor, many with their jaws dropped and phones out. He also incorporated a unique instrument, a talk box, to […]

Anytime you find yourself at the Fox Theater in Boulder, you’re bound to have a good time. Parking isn’t much of an issue and there are nice little food and drink spots all around the area (including an Insomnia Cookies down the street which is open until 3am). The theater is clean, organized and brings […]

Badbadnotgood deliver auditory genius to the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO | October 10th, 2017

Last night I ventured up to Boulder to hit the Fox Theater for a show by one of my favorites, Badbadnotgood. The 4 piece band have always had a loyal following since their start, but it seems more and more people are getting hooked on the beauty they create. Fusing hip-hop flavors, dark guitar riffs and […]

Jaw Gems, Adam Deitch + Special Guests brought the best of hip-hop jazz fusion to Re:Search Wednesdays | October 4th, 2017 [Show Review]

I went down to Cervantes this past Wednesday to see Um.., Ganz, Jaw Gems and Adam Deitch. In the end it turned out to be a whole lot more than just these acts, and that’s to be expected from Re:Search Wednesdays at Cervantes. Often hosting special guests and regulars such as GRiZ and Borahm Lee, […]
