Upon setting foot on the beautiful coast of Uvita, a wave of gratitude washes over as the realization of your arrival settles in. The epic journey attendees endure to reach this festival, whether it be flying for over 24 hours or having to secure shuttle and housing arrangements, the feeling of accomplishment and appreciation is […]

Night One The excitement was running through my veins as the anticipation for my flight back home to Portland peaked to an all time high. It was my first time in months to be back in my hometown, and I’d also be reuniting with family and friends alike for an incredible two night run with […]

Party on a Tuesday night? Denver sure got one when an aggregate of musicians joined together to celebrate the 40th birthday of Scott Morrill, owner and booking agent of Denver’s Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom and Other Side. Scott Morrill celebrated his hatching day with some incredible musicians who contributed their talent, complete with a crowd of […]

It’s not every day you see a lineup stacked with so many progressive producers. With the combined forces of both Weirdo’s in the Woods and Mile High Sound Movement comes Weirdo’s in the Hood, placed halfway between last years’ debut gathering and next summer’s follow up. Just because it was one night didn’t stop them […]

Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom has held down it’s spot as one of Denver’s most notable venues for quite a while now, and rightfully so. Their 14th Anniversary event marked another year in business under the belt, and to make for the best celebration yet, the owners picked a nice lineup that brought in a laundry list […]

I’ve been to a lot of one night art oriented parties that provide a much different feel than most places. However, Far Side Emporium‘s Winter Wonderlust was certainly one of the most unique. Usually vendors and artists line a wall or two leaving the rest of the space open for dancing and socializing, but about half […]

This last Friday night at the Fillmore in Denver, CO was quite the party as many had expected. When Shpongle comes to your city, it’s a sure thing that you’ll find some of the best kinds of weird in your vicinity. With great supporting acts all night, there was never a dull moment. First, Alex […]

Last week, the ‘So Cute’ Tour featuring Lindsay Lowend, Bollywood Life, Giraffage and headliner Slow Magic hit Denver and was one for the books to say the least! Jamband
It’s nothing new that both Twiddle and The Werks have taken the term jam band and expanded it to further levels with their innovative sounds and multi-genre incorporation in each of their music styles. Because each sound is so unique, it’s hard to describe in words, and is best understood in the form of a […]
