Little Dragon breathed the fire of life into the packed crowd at Stubb’s Amphitheater. The entire show was a ritual, as if a spell had been cast over the packed audience by Yukimi Nagano – Little Dragon’s foxy Swedish frontwoman. Yukimi danced with a gourd shaped tambourine in hand and chanted out notes of pure […]

If you’ve yet to captivate yourselves with the odd and soothing sounds from Generationals, allow us to give you an introduction. This dance rock group are built on a solid foundation of interesting percussions, soulful vocals and irresistible melodies, and each show is a sweaty grooving party. They’ve got a Beach Boys charm with an old-time innocence, […]

Indie
Miniature Tigers brings just the right mix of 80s spice to the indie rock recipe. Their music moves people on the dance floor and invigorates the soul. Rick Shaier’s sweet synths float like clouds and Algernon Quaishe’s groovy guitar drips like rain, underlying the contradictory nature of their music – making dark and depressing lyrics […]

With all of the excitement surrounding the Colorado music scene this NYE, Michal Menert welcomed a SOLD OUT crowd to 2017 with an unforgettable performance at the Aggie Theater, in Fort Collins. As Fort Collins is my college town, I could not have pictured a better way to ring in the New Year than an intimate venue with […]

Minimal Effort Halloween was maximum fun (I wonder how many mediocre bloggers have used that one already)! But actually, Minimal Effort last Saturday was a great event. It is clear that they did not sell as many tickets as they wanted because LA Center Studios was practically empty, but this allowed the people who did […]

The highly anticipated Beach Goth 2016 was fun, but that’s not saying much since its a music festival after all. The Beach Goth production team failed in many ways which took away from the music and everyone’s overall enjoyment of the festival. Beach Goth, the yearly festival put on by The Growlers in Southern […]

As one of the last Red Rocks shows of the season, it was with mixed emotions that I showed up to what’s become my favorite venue last Saturday. Bittersweet, heavy-hearted yet ready to boogy my ass off – these are the trail mix of feels I was experiencing if you’d like to get in my […]

I’d been waiting all month for last Friday night, and once it had finally arrived, I knew I wasn’t alone in my anticipation. Arriving to the Ogden Theater just before 10pm, there was already a long line of anxious patrons lining the block, and despite the cold, smiles were plastered on every face. The lineup […]
