Miami has long been a party destination for music and art lovers so of course Art Basel is no different. Imagine Festival was a secret kiss planted on the lips of the new age. Deadmau5 receiving artist of the year by Rolling Stone back in 2012 stands out in my mind as the point in which EDM emerged fully into the mainstream. Since then, we have witnessed the proclaimed death of dubstep, as well as […]

Intelligently polished productions have been his constant signature, but the transformation into Virtual Self has unveiled a completely new side. The entire project feels like […]

Where oh where did I lose my mind? At the earth stage with its epic sound system? With a projection mapped stage and unreal gyrating psychedelic visuals? Or did I leave it up in the canopy at the forest stage; looking down on an ocean of funky party people, relishing the vibe of uplifting house […]

Initially making a splash in the underground indie scene through sites like BandCamp and SoundCloud, it’s safe to say Cuco is making huge waves in 2018. His newfound success has seen him opening for mega band Portugal. the Man, getting his own documentary on Fader, playing high scale festivals like Coachella, and most recently, […]

Following last years’ monumental headlining at the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater, this Saturday night will see Emancipator Ensemble taking over the stage once more. They have since surpassed many milestones, but Red Rocks will always hold a special place in the hearts of the band. After putting in serious time at Emanc brainchild Doug Appling’s […]

Kicking off another Re:Search Wednesday, residents Jordan and Mikey Thunder played a combination of melancholy instrumentals and a few of Polovina’s downtempo singles. Setting the vibe with their mellow tracks, the residents combined forces with Thunder taking control of the drum lines while Jordan offered his masterful cello strokes and clean rap bars. As always, […]
