Originally reigning supreme in genres such as complextro and progressive house, Porter Robinson has always stayed atop the crest of electronics’ biggest waves, and his latest project is no different. Intelligently polished productions have been his constant signature, but the transformation into Virtual Self has unveiled a completely new side.
The entire project feels like a testament to 2000’s digital nostalgia – the single ‘Ghost Voices’ would feel right at home in the ethereal world of Final Fantasy. Porter’s artistry has only strengthened with time, and fans will be pleased to see these new efforts for themselves.
