In the past few years, music festivals have had a huge upswing in popularity. It seems like every weekend from May to September there’s at least one festival taking place in any given region of the country. But finding one that still manages to bring together a sense of unity and freedom for the […]

As we’re coming down to the final few days before New Jersey’s F.A.R.M. Fest, I can barely contain my excitement as I begin to make preparations. In less than a week I will be with friends from across the country on a wooded lake being treated to one of the finest lineups of music on […]

While F.A.R.M. Fest quickly proved itself to be more than just a weekend of music, that didn’t mean there wasn’t a fine selection of some of the hottest acts on the festival scene touring today. Featuring such illustrious stars such as EOTO, Papadosio, Desert Dwellers and Liquid Stranger, what set it apart from most other […]

Since returning from F.A.R.M. Fest in Vernon NJ this past weekend, I’ve needed a few days to re-adjust to the banality of regular life after taking part in such an incredible atmosphere for three full days. Everything about this festival, from the artists, the staff, and especially the attendees, were like-minded with giving their all […]

There’s only less than a week to go until the second annual FARM Fest starts, and anticipation for this festival is reaching an all-time high. FARM Fest’s lineup is varied and deep, consisting of such popular headliners as Papadosio and EOTO, choice psychedelic electronica like Desert Dwellers and Bluetech, great local talent like Space Jesus […]

As if Farm Fest’s lineup wasn’t stellar enough, the folks over at Funkadelphia are bringing the Funkytown Stage, a completely different aspect of the festival with an additional lineup guaranteed to keep the funk alive at Farm Fest throughout the weekend. Featuring such great artists as Unlimited Gravity, Project Aspect, Spankalicious, Supersillyus, a secret special […]

Though they may not be anywhere near the top of the billing, the act I’m most looking forward to is Boulder, Colorado’s three piece livetronica act DYNOHUNTER. Featuring Justin Ehmer on drums, Fred Reisen on bass and synth and Clark Smith on saxophone, keys and production, DYNOHUNTER creates a sound that appeals to both EDM […]

While thousands of people descended upon the city of New York to attend the two major music festivals happening during the Memorial Day weekend, Mysteryland and EDC, I was much more excited to see Minnesota and KOAN Sound winding down their spring tour at New York City’s Webster Hall. As I made my way to the […]

This past Wednesday, April 16th, Lotus ended their incredible three night run at the Brooklyn Bowl with a bang. I arrived at the venue around 8PM and quickly noted an atmosphere very reminiscent of the last day during a festival. Everyone I spoke to were both ecstatic in anticipation for the nights’ upcoming two sets and simultaneously exhausted […]

A well rounded pallet is necessary for appreciating any art form, and music is no different. Flavor of the Week will be the platform for sharing our favorite new tracks across a variety of genres. For our first week we’re listening to Glitch-Hop, a genre primarily categorized by its no holds barred, anything-goes tempos and […]
