Social Culture
The most essential part of having an effective detox bath is to sweat. Toxins build up within the body and sweating them out is one of the most potent ways to release them. Sweating rids the body of salt, alcohol and heavy metals. Raising the temperature of your body also produces more white blood cells, which sweating […]

CYM’s TOP 20 US FESTIVALS OF 2014 Although festival season has already hit the ground running, we came up with this list of fests you can catch just in time for summer! Take note of the fact that these are only upcoming festivals in the US that made our list; there is a whole other […]
Indie
Having been a devoted fan of the Mars Volta for many years, I am all too familiar with the heart wrenching feeling that many other fans were left with after the disbandment in 2013. I cannot stress enough how insanely happy it makes me to hear that founding members, the insistently innovative Cedric Bixler-Zavala, and prolific […]

Though I’ve seen Shpongle perform many times, I don’t think it could ever be considered the same experience. Whether its performing in a psychedelic tower passing off as a DJ booth, or on a standard plain table, accompanied with a live band and dancers, or just as his wonderfully insane self, Simon Posford has rarely […]

It’s impossible for anything to bloom into its full potential without change; Sonic Bloom is embracing this notion of change with its relocation to American Safari Ranch in South Park, CO on June 19-22 this year. The gorgeous new location is the ideal place for the transformational music and camping festival to blossom into its […]

The art of burlesque has been popular for decades, but its peak was from 1900’s – 1940’s. During this time, there were hundreds of touring burlesque shows, and the performers were revered almost as celebrities. There are few current names that come to mind when on the subject of burlesque, and Dita Von Teese is the […]

Live Music Coverage
British progressive metal band TesseracT has been thrashing stages across the US since their tour started in late March and have already left a sold out string of shows left behind. We were more than stoked to get some shots of this awesome band when they came to Dallas’ Club Dada. The powerful energy that […]

Electronic
These two names may not be familiar to you as of yet, but we aren’t very far into 2014 either. Slated to take over the scene this year are Australia’s own, electronic producers Wave Racer, actual name Thomas Purcell, and Trippy Turtle, whose name is unknown (who doesn’t love an enigma?). Rocking similar poppy, upbeat […]

Sound Tribe said it best; “The only constant in life is change”. I must admit, my heart sank in a similar fashion to that of being dumped when I first read the STS9 announcement that David “Murph” Murphy was leaving the band. However, their newest addition Alana Rocklin seems pretty damn promising, and the new […]
