Kicking off the evening, Jordan Polovina opened with one of his signature cello/hip-hop jams “Late Night.” The melodic ending helped him transition smoothly into his “Lana Del Ray vs Method Man” mashup. The track features Lana’s eerie vocals over a spacey trap instrumental that bridges into a Method Man verse over a fresh beat and […]

Last Tuesday saw friends and fans alike packing into Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox in support of the new Break Science album, Grid of Souls. Being the highly anticipated follow up to 2013’s Seven Bridges, the new tracks had only been in rotation the last few months, but the number of plays continue to rise. With its […]

Kicking off another Re:Search Wednesday, Jordan Polovina started the party with a set incorporating mollifying cello playing, improvisational drum pad beats, and heavily lyrical bars accompanied by singing on the chorus. His experimental drum pad track showed off his comfortability creating beats on the fly. Jordan’s impressive Shady-esque bars flowed throughout the night as he […]

Looping his drum pad over his soothing cello rifts on “Get It”, he created a mellow vibe for the crowd to sway to. Walking into Ophelia’s Electric Soap Box in downtown Denver, I was immediately surprised by their size and set up. Ophelia’s is more of a bar than a true concert venue, and is very tiny for a show of Random Rab’s magnitude. It’s no wonder the show sold out days in advance. It has a small […]

This week I got the opportunity to explore Denver’s music scene for 5 days in a row of diverse music. Tuesday, I went down to see Hatcha and Ivy Lab throw down their sub frequency sounds for a sold out Black Box. It was popping as ever, with a 30-minute line out the door leading […]

Lettuce are bringing a mixed bag of funk for our ears, and we’re getting even more pumped for the opening artists. Reggae inspired band RDGLDGRN […]
