“Real vibe comes from the heart and it comes from the love for the music and the love for one another. Trust me if anyone can have a spiritual experience on the dance floor it’s me, but mine usually happen when I’ve got my eyes closed and I’m locked into a tight ass house groove. […]

As one of the last Red Rocks shows of the season, it was with mixed emotions that I showed up to what’s become my favorite venue last Saturday. Bittersweet, heavy-hearted yet ready to boogy my ass off – these are the trail mix of feels I was experiencing if you’d like to get in my […]

In the spirit of the Greek myth from which the album derives its name Templo immerses you deeply into a labyrinth of meaning and mythology. Somehow, having put out as many songs as […]

The term “transformative festival” has been used and abused for far too long. “Transformative festival” has basically become a calling card for hippies, crystals, psytrance, etc. Now, I’m a big fan of all of these things – except psytrance – but at the end of the day, for a majority of festival goers a […]

Beats Antique is back with an album that spanned the Earth in search of the sound for its creation, an album built upon the sound that they have spent forming together and then explored in a way that can only come after ten years of production and mastery. The name of the album is Shadowbox, and in […]

I’d been waiting all month for last Friday night, and once it had finally arrived, I knew I wasn’t alone in my anticipation. Arriving to the Ogden Theater just before 10pm, there was already a long line of anxious patrons lining the block, and despite the cold, smiles were plastered on every face. The lineup […]

Capyac are hot off the stage from Texas’s Utopiafest! A few weeks ago they sat down to talk with me about their mythos, touring through Europe, giant demon puppets, and the people behind WAX – their smash fashion show. Potion and Big Sugz talk about their musical evolution from a genre they call Balloon-Wave to […]
