Last week on October 11th at the Bluebird Theater, I was fortunate enough to sit down with a couple of members from one of our favorite groups, The Magic Beans! Fresh off the road to play a hometown throw down, I was really excited to sit down with these boys and listen to what they […]

The music duo Bob Moses originally from Vancouver, Canada popped off the Larimer Lounge this past Sunday. Denver was fortunate to experience this intimate show, by promoting their new album “Days Gone By.” The Denver music scene came out and embraced Tom and Jimmy, two extremely talented musicians. Vocalist Tom Howie’s sexy cool vibe accompanied […]

Funk
The booty shakin’ grooves of Denver based group Analog Son are infectious and psychedelic, making for a top notch live music experience every time. After having our minds blown by their explosive yet intimate set at this year’s Arise Music Festival, we were stoked for the chance to chat with the guys about the road […]

Jamband
The Magic Beans, a local band from Nederland, Colorado, know how to throw one groovy party. This past weekend at the Mishawaka Amphitheatre the Beans made sure to make it one to remember. Celebrating the birthday of bass player, Josh Appelbaum, the guys didn’t hold anything back. In words from Josh himself, “Thanks for making […]

From the door to the floor, the vibes that pack out Knew Conscious art gallery are powerfully felt. Having the pleasure of attending the gallery several times since living in Denver, it never fails to feel like a welcoming experience all over again, and last Thursday’s party was no exception. Super Best Records was calling […]

Festival Coverage
This year’s installment of Riot Fest saw one of the best lineups of the summer, and we were all too excited to be apart of the action here in Denver! Making the National Western Complex Center their home for the weekend, the new venue overshadows last years Sports Authority by a long shot, and gave […]

The glitchy goodness was alive and well last weekend here in Denver as local Unlimited Gravity opened for VibeSquad at Cervante’s Masterpiece Ballroom on Friday August 21st. Still amped up from his performance at Arise Music Festival in Loveland earlier in the month, the Colorowdy vibe was already thick as Weberg’s time slot crept up slowly. […]

Funk
Wow, The Motet! From gracing the stage at Cervantes to selling out Red Rocks and even bringing their funk all around the world, it really doesn’t matter where The Motet plays, because it’s always a dance party. Their style is uniquely their own, with roots in Funk, Disco, Jazz and Soul. They draw in an exciting crowd […]

This year’s Arise Music Festival was one for the books – by far the only festival I’ve experienced with such a solid fusion of music lovers from all backgrounds. Everyone in attendance from young to old were in high spirits and ready to Arise and Shine by making their weekend the best it could be; […]

Originating from Denver, one of the most progressive cities for music, I was skeptical and admittedly naïve to the talent that not only passes through, but roots itself to the city of Durango as well. My night at the Animas Theatre forever wavered my biased opinions and became one of my most redefining moments. Nestled […]
