WAT U IZ is the first fashion show that continues to replay in my mind – it’s the kind of beauty and intentionality that makes you feel as if it had been a lifetime in the making. Each Pyer Moss production is an embodiment of Black celebration and WAT U IZ would be no different. […]

What I’ve missed most during COVID is finally back in action; gallery shows! Whether it’s attending exhibits during art walks or stumbling upon those you hadn’t previously known, seeing an artwork for the very first time is an intoxicating experience. Fortunately for me, I encountered Orlando Estrada’s poignant installation, The Infinite Vision in the Ethereal […]

There’s been a lot of anticipation for this Brooklyn-based artist’s sophomore album. Nick Hakim seems to guess our feelings with the opening track of “ALL THESE CHANGES” which starts off with cinematic strings, casting an optimistic glow around the listener, as they are poised waiting for what will come. After teasing previous singles ‘Lungs’ and ‘Symbolism’, Cobrayama has officially dropped his highly anticipated R&B infused album, Clear. The Brooklyn based purveyor of sound has been working swiftly behind the scenes to bring Clear to the people, and the day has come. Intrinsically crafted melodies are a signature of his, and this collaboration shows us […]

Miami has long been a party destination for music and art lovers so of course Art Basel is no different. The week long event has grown larger than life, spawning several unofficial parties for weeks before and after the actual event. Becoming akin to the large networking music, tech and film giant South By South […]

Umphrey’s McGee landed in Kalamazoo on February 2nd and 3rd as frost and snow blanketed over the Michigan region. Frigid weather did not matter much to the band as they came armed with a fire in their hearts and ready to show love for the Midwest. This became obvious throughout the weekend as the band delved deep […]
