Fresh release from Templo, Shadows, drops today in anticipation of his headlining show at Denver’s Black Box | December 8th, 2017 [New Album Release + Event Preview]

Though Denver has yet to officially have our first real snow, the winter months draw us all indoors, and that includes our favorite producers as well. Liam Shea aka Templo has been hard at work perfecting his latest studio effort, Shadows, and will be dropping it to fans Thursday, December 7th. Highly anticipated, Shadows will be his first release in over a year and proudly displays the massive changes the producer has undergone. The 5 track EP starts with ‘Human Golf Club’, which instantly shows us Templo’s decision to dig into more uptempo and hard-hitting techniques. The ultimate crunch track, ‘Tremors 163bpm’ is specially equipped with sluggish beats and soft wubs, while ‘FKMR’ brings us right back to some juicy, uptempo squish.

Possibly the pinnacle of the release, ‘The Clock Man’  shows Templo’s unique ability to produce thoughtful glitch and distorted vocals atop a meditative groove, keeping in perfect balance within the track. ‘Fearsome Ghost Pilot’ serves as the album closer, leaving us on a reggae party vibe and wanting more. Clocking in under 30 minutes, we can’t appreciate this new selection of songs more and are continually stoked to seeing what new styles Templo pulls off.

With Shadows slated for a timely drop the day before his Black Box debut this Friday, we’re looking forward to hearing Templo’s clean bass rhythms pumping through the Black Box’s omnipotent sound system. Tickets are available but set to sell out, so don’t miss out and score yours here.
