Suwannee’s Hulaween is quickly approaching and with almost a full week of festivities lined up we are thriving with anticipation to be back at The Spirit in Live Oak, Florida. Presented by Silver Wrapper, Purple Hat Productions & the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, Hulaween is pretty much the most elaborate and action packed Halloween weekend out there, with equally as epic pre-parties kicking the weekend off Thursday, October 27th.
If you have been hiding under a rock lately and haven’t peeped the insane lineup, get familiar, because every single name on the bill is a show you cannot miss. Which means, make sure to pack extra masks, sunglasses and props, because this might be the weekend you set that “no sleep” record. It might also be the weekend you daunt all those random costumes and articles of clothing hiding in the back of your closet you seem to have nowhere to wear to…because Hulaween is the ultimate Halloween costume party. Expressing yourself 100% is always one of the most freeing aspects of a festival and Hulaween is extra special, because it is literally a four day dress up party with complete with thousands of new family members and all the best music, art and community.
Tickets are still available and if you buy a pass for the Hulaween experience, you are also eligible to purchase a ticket for the official Thursday pre-party. Thursday will feature not one but two Umphrey’s McGee sets, Greensky Bluegrass, EOTO & Friends, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Fruition, The Werks, Late Night Radio, GanjaWhiteNight, The Heavy Pets and more (like what?! That’s a festival in itself!).
Per usual, attendees will be treated to seven sets from The String Cheese Incident over the three days including one of their famous themed Halloween set filled with what we can only assume will be lots of surprises.
The grounds are filled with ever evolving experimental and interactive art in the forms of multimedia textures, paintings, light projections, performance groups and an endless playground for us to explore and fully immerse ourselves into. Furthermore, Hulaween offers a variety of workshops, yoga and activities to engage ourselves completely in this unique festival experience.
