Anytime you find yourself at the Fox Theater in Boulder, you’re bound to have a good time. Parking isn’t much of an issue and there are nice little food and drink spots all around the area (including an Insomnia Cookies down the street which is open until 3am). The theater is clean, organized and brings […]

The city of Boulder, Colorado was treated to a stack of extraterrestrial performances headlined by glitched-out bass wizard Thriftworks last Friday night, and it was a dope kickoff to Boulder’s Spring Break crowd. Hosting the show was the Boulder House, an art gallery turned music venue that is intimate, spacious and pretty laid back. As usual, […]

Enchanted Forest Gathering, July 22 through 24 in Laytonville, CA, is less than a month away and CYM cannot wait to take part in this conscious and collective celebration. As we made our descent upon the old desert town of Tucson, Lauren and I were riddled with uncontainable excitement. Though it’d be my second year of the festival and Lauren’s first, our levels on the stoked factor were just as equally off the charts. After 12 hours of driving, the sight of a landscape […]

It’d seem as though watching sets by Templo, Thriftworks and Russ Liquid just last weekend at the Gem and Jam Festival simply wasn’t enough – we couldn’t help but crave more of that unique downtempo/experimental bass sound that these three artists are known to throw down. So last Wednesday, we found ourselves exactly where everyone else in […]

The beauty that is known as Art Outside was held last month from October 24-27th just outside of my unofficial, but beloved home of Austin, Texas. With 2014 commemorating the homegrown festivals’ 10th year anniversary, I was more than excited to see just how my favorite gathering planned to celebrate. Although this year’s AO would […]

As the Fall installment of our favorite Colorado festival of the year, Sonic Blossom was the perfect fix for all of us still reminiscing about Sonic Bloom. Featuring one of our favorite bass producers, Thriftworks, it was awesome to see him with a fully custom live visual set up and accompanied by hip hop artist […]
