Feast your eyes on these incredible captures from our photographer Stacey Rupolo of Alt-J at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater Monday night. Their performance literally blew us away; these guys are amazingly talented! After giving praise to their sold out audience, Alt-J members gushed about the momentum of playing at Red Rocks. ‘We’ve been looking […]

Festival Coverage
After witnessing their high-energy set during Wakarusa earlier this month, Jamestown Revival drew me as a fan instantly. The passion in their craft truly shines, and their authentic and personable connection to their crowd is beyond charming. Although I wouldn’t be quick to call myself a fan of southern Rock, Jamestown Revival changed my mind […]

Interviews
Lakefight is among one of the most energetic acts in Seattle. Singer and piano player David Gladfelter has an ability to lose himself completely to the music. While playing he thrashes his fingers over the keys while screaming, squirming, and rolling his eyes into the back of his head like like a amped up Jerry […]

ZELLA DAY: Prepare to fall into a hazy love when giving singer-songwriter Zella Day a listen. With a voice made of honey, she creates pop tracks that are soft as silk and lovingly layered with guitars, tambourines and drum synths. While her audience is still mostly underground, her appearance at this year’s BUKU should propel […]

Live Music Coverage
It was last week at the South Side Ballroom in Dallas, where a sparse group of 20-30somethings dressed in mostly black waited outside in anticipation of seeing one of their most adored rock bands: Saosin. Standing around and kicking the pavement with their high top black Converse, friend groups hesitantly merged, but bonded to speak about […]

Sweeping the Northwest club circuit, Tangerine has exploded to stardom this past year, both local and afar. Playing festivals such as South By Southwest, Treefort, Bumbershoot, and Capitol Hill Block Party, their acceptance as indie darlings have given them a shot at becoming major players in today’s tumultuous music industry. Playing their first show of […]

Nestled in the back of Gas Monkey lies the most intimate outdoor venue I have had the honor of experiencing. Though it’s possible I carry bias due to the fact that the night itself catered the most beautiful weather Texas had seen in quite some time. It was clear, crisp and cool; Mother Nature prophesying […]

Although Bluebird Theater’s stage held only Slow Magic, a laptop and his ominously glowing drum set, the crowd that was swiftly packing itself into the venue on Thursday night was fueled by a rush of adrenaline, anxiety and excitement for what was in store. Having recently discovered Slow Magic through a mutual friend, I had […]
