ZELLA DAY: Prepare to fall into a hazy love when giving singer-songwriter Zella Day a listen. With a voice made of honey, she creates pop tracks that are soft as silk and lovingly layered with guitars, tambourines and drum synths. While her audience is still mostly underground, her appearance at this year’s BUKU should propel her into the spotlight, especially with the release of her debut self-title happening earlier this month. Baring her vulnerability through tracks like Compass, and then letting her sunny disposition explode in our favorite, ‘1965’, gives her a flair that we can’t help but be drawn to. Make sure to catch Zella Day during BUKU Music + Art Project next month!
