Our Favorite Quaran-Streams Getting Us Through COVID-19

With all the uncertainty in the world, especially in the music industry, a lot of fans, musicians, and tour folk are staring straight at a huge question mark. When we will be able to gather again and enjoy the power of community and music? When will musicians be able to play for a crowd? When will lighting, roadies, and sound techs be able to get back to work? When will be able to dance, hug, and laugh together in a sea of sweating bodies? And shudder, when will we able to festival together again? For now, the temporary answer is Quaran-Streams.

Thankfully, technology and creativity have fused together to bring us some incredible content via quaran-streams to enjoy music at home. For me, it has been incredibly therapeutic and healing to still be able to virtually connect with some of my favorite artists. Oh, and being able to dance around the house has been equally healing and added an extra layer of fun to this stay-at-home order.

With this being said, we have composed a list (that will be continually updated) of our favorite quaran-streams that are easing the pain of not being able to see live music. This list features a wide variety of music so that hopefully there is a little something for everyone to enjoy. We urge you to tune into to one, three, or ALL of these suggestions and do not forget to throw your favorite artists some virtual tips to show them some love for all their hard work.

Andy Frasco’s World Saving Shitshow

If you have not been paying attention to quaran-streams the last two months, you need to know that Mr. Andy Frasco is THE reigning quaran-king. The man is working overtime to keep the people entertained and it definitely shows. Every Thursday night, Frasco serves up his World Saving Shitshow live from Denver, Colorado. Each shitshow, fans are blessed with favorites from the band’s catalog with guitarist Shawn Eckels. Andy interviews incredible guests, featuring some of the jam scene’s most prominent figures. The shitshow ends with the Stay-at-Home dance party, which we assure you, is the most fun you’ve had in quarantine. Every week offers a contest with dope prizes and proceeds go to Backline, supporting mental health in the music industry.
