February may be a month gone too soon for some, but for bluegrass lovers in Colorado, it marks the most wonderful time of the year; Winter Wondergrass! Hosting separate weekends in Steamboat Springs and Lake Tahoe, Winter Wondergrass is a gathering born of adventure seekers, craft beer enthusiasts and heartfelt, soul twangin’ bluegrass. Giving attendees the chance to ski or snowboard the neighboring mountain resorts, this unique festival caters to both sides of active concert goers.
The biggest names in bluegrass graced the Winter Wondergrass stages for two days, snowflakes falling steadily and red cheeks galore, and we’re already looking forward to joining the festivities again next year. Highlights included Greensky Bluegrass, Fruition, Yonder Mountain String Band, Trout Steak Revival and many more, but all of the artists truly gave remarkable performances.
We were grateful to have contributor Austin Dodson taking in the experience through his lens for our viewing pleasure – enjoy a few shots below, and see the full gallery here!
