Dubbed the Hot Box Summer Tour, Passafire and Stick Figure are having one hell of a ride. By the looks of it, the tour is doing more than successful. Passafire: I’m Mike and I play keyboards in Passafire. I’m Nick, I play drums. We started in 2003, but we’ve been pretty heavy on the road since like 2006.
CYM: Being such a consistently touring band, do you think that helped with your fanbase being so loyal?
Passafire: Thats probably the most important thing to us, our relationship with the fans, and the only way to do that is to stay on the road. We’re in the middle of our 7 week Hot Box Tour right now, which might seem long but has become normal to us. We pretty much live on the road!
CYM: What are your favorite cities to play?
Passafire: Austin, Denver… Chicago.
CYM: You guys don’t seem to have any limits when it comes to the types of genres you play. Are your influences all over the place, or do you just love mixing it up?
Passafire: You could say we just like to be musically diverse. It really just comes down to We making music that’s fun to play.
CYM: What would you say you compose yourself of?
Passafire: The majority of my body is made of water. That’s a tough question. I’d say we’re all just genuine and humble guys, and that’s what comes through our music.
