This past October marked the first of many gatherings to come from Mala Luna, and we were stoked to be apart of it! Tons of local vendors, painters, and musicians graced the festival as well as big names to draw in the crowds, making for a truly perfect festival experience. While Texas has hosted many […]

Forget ACL, Sound on Sound is injecting its imagination into the Texas festival scene. Last weekend I had a truly magical experience, completely carefree… until the event was suddenly evacuated. We’ll speak more on that later, but first up of course, is the music. The fairground was small enough to walk in 20 minutes and […]

Suwannee’s Hulaween fuses the collective aspects of a festival that a potential goer seeks when making the commitment to buy the ticket and take the ride, ties them all together into one perfectly spooky bundle and caters much more than just a music festival to its guests. Rather, Hulaween administers a life changing experience, unlike any […]

Minimal Effort Halloween was maximum fun (I wonder how many mediocre bloggers have used that one already)! But actually, Minimal Effort last Saturday was a great event. It is clear that they did not sell as many tickets as they wanted because LA Center Studios was practically empty, but this allowed the people who did […]

The highly anticipated Beach Goth 2016 was fun, but that’s not saying much since its a music festival after all. The Beach Goth production team failed in many ways which took away from the music and everyone’s overall enjoyment of the festival. Beach Goth, the yearly festival put on by The Growlers in Southern […]

We came, we danced, we got freaky. Hands down, BangOn! still takes the crown for throwing the best warehouse parties. From the production, to the performers, to the jungle gym like structures to climb on, all the way to the music and the games, and of course the sea full of costumed patrons ready to […]

“Real vibe comes from the heart and it comes from the love for the music and the love for one another. Trust me if anyone can have a spiritual experience on the dance floor it’s me, but mine usually happen when I’ve got my eyes closed and I’m locked into a tight ass house groove. […]

The term “transformative festival” has been used and abused for far too long. “Transformative festival” has basically become a calling card for hippies, crystals, psytrance, etc. Now, I’m a big fan of all of these things – except psytrance – but at the end of the day, for a majority of festival goers a […]
