2018 has seen its share of artists gone too soon, but that doesn’t keep people from around the world coming together to celebrate and reminisce on legacies left behind. One of music’s latest losses was rapper Mac Miller, who died just last month from a tragic drug overdose. Though he led a successful life and produced inspirational music, like many artists Miller suffered from depression and addiction issues, leading to his untimely end. In the midst of his passing, family and friends have announced a massive event to pay homage to the rappers’ life while also supporting a newly founded charity by Miller’s parents and brother.
The Mac Miller Circles Fund seeks to provide programming, resources, and opportunities to youth from underserved communities, helping them recognize their full potential through exploration in the arts and community building. With a little help from friends such as Anderson .Paak, Chance the Rapper, SZA, John Mayer, SchoolboyQ and many more, the staggering energy this event will bring is going to be profound. Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life will mark the official launch of the new charity – tickets go on sale Friday, October 5th here. Tell your friends, book your flights.
