Warren Haynes’ ever-evolving rock project, Gov’t Mule, just announced a slew of Texas dates for their 2017 tour, and they’re hitting the four cornerstones: Austin (ACL Live @ Moody Theatre – 9/28), San Antonio (Aztec Theatre – 9/29), Dallas (Majestic – 9/30) and Houston (House of Blues – 10/2). Tickets go on sale June 16 (pre-sale on June 14).
The Mule is touring extensively this year in support of their latest album, Revolution Come… Revolution Go. Currently cavorting across Europe, Haynes and friends land back Stateside at the end of June for a dense schedule that includes major music festivals like High Sierra and Lock’n.
“…Now that Gov’t Mule’s new record is here, I’m gonna be focusing pretty much strictly on Gov’t Mule for the next year or so,” Haynes told Live for Live Music earlier this month.
Revolution Come… Revolution Go is the band’s tenth studio album – the newest since Shout in 2013. Having just come out June 9, it’s so fresh the vinyl’s still warm. You can find it here – or you can pick it up when the Mule trots into town.
