Spring Awakening Festival brings electronic music to Chicago, IL | June 9th-11th, 2017 [Festival Preview]

Spring Awakening Festival returns to Chicago for its fifth consecutive year, taking over Addams-Medill Park with six stages of non-stop music from afternoon to night. With two main stages, two themed stages each day, an Electric Beach Oasis, and a silent disco, React Presents is bringing in some of the biggest acts in electronic music, alongside yet to be discovered favorites.

This year, headliners Afrojack, Alesso, and Axwell ^ Ingrosso bring big-room house to the main stage. For bass lovers, Excision, Datsik, Diplo, and Keys N Krates also headline. Other top acts include the groovy sounds of Duke Dumont, the always funky Griz, the female act Krewella, and the unique “happy trap” sounds of Marshmello.

Beyond the headliners, several themed stages with sub-genres of electronic music are set throughout the festival grounds. Take some time to check out other genres and find new artists to love. The Trance Arena features Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, and Andrew Rayel. Those who love house will love the Sunday School Stage with Gorgon City, Victor Calderone, and Eats Everything. Bassheads will have even more to love at the Bass Kitchen stage, with Snails and Kill the Noise bringing big performances. Also featured is the Body Language stage with Thomas Jack, Dancing Astronaut stage with Benny Benassi and Sander Van Doorn, the Anjuna Deep stage with Rufus Du Sol and Moon Boots, and the Electric Beach Oasis featuring TJR and Oakenfold.

No matter what kind of electronic music you’re into, you’ll find a lot to love at Spring Awakening! 3-day passes have sold out, but single-day passes for each of the days are still available. Set times have also been released, so you can pick days when your favorites will be playing. Get your tickets here!
