Fruition hit Jackson Hole, Wyoming last Wednesday, August 24th, and it could not have been a better show to welcome the band to this uniquely beautiful Teton community for the first time. Once everyone nestled into the cozy Town Square Tavern, the fruitiness and freakiness level soared. Dimly lit green, blues and reds coated the dance floor as fruity freaks of all ages and durations danced and sang to Fruition’s irresistible sound. The quaintness of the venue provided a sugar coated scene, making it one unforgettable night. The atmosphere was at a personal level…a huge contrast to the four sets played by the quintet at Vertex Festival at the beginning of the month (but equally as epic). The night was truly a family affair, with band members’ parents, aunts and uncles present to witness the authentic bliss that comes hand in hand with seeing Fruition live. The cherry on top for me personally was my parents haphazardly being able to experience one of my favorite bands for the first time in one of my favorite mountain towns. The set was fully equipped with all of the beckoning hits and a solid 90 minute long set, leaving the crowd in the skies ’til next time.
Another stellar Fruition show in the books and my love for their
genuine, heartwarming, classic but cutting edge sound only seems to keep growing. These cats have got that synchronistic audible pleasure that can satisfy any soul searchin’ music lovin’ fool. Be sure to catch them at one of their many upcoming shows to get a hearty dose of the fruity and freaky goodness we cannot get enough of.
