Partyin’ For A Purpose: The Polish Ambassador + Wildlight Coming To Portland, OR

It’s no news that The Polish Ambassador, a.k.a. David Sugalski, and Wildlight (made up of Sugalski and the marvelous Ayla Nereo) are making sonic waves with TPA‘s intergalactic beats and electronic music production, Nereo‘s beautiful instrumentation coupled with her singing/songwriting as well doing their part to give back to the earth and community, but did you know just how active these caring, talented souls really are? CYM are long times fans of Polish and Nereo and are excited to tell you more about what the Jumpsuit Records crew is up to and the exciting events happening in Portland, OR this weekend. Kicking off the events on Friday, June 3rd, Wildlight will be playing at the intimate Star Theater (snag tickets here) and Saturday, June 4th, The Polish Ambassador with Saqi + special guests will be getting down with the get down at the famous Crystal Ballroom (snag tickets here). BOTH shows are expected to sell out, so DO NOT sleep on buying these tickets, folks!

What is really special though, are the action days that follow TPA’s shows. Starting in the fall of 2014 with the focus on catalyzing the exuberant and vibrant energy at his shows, TPA knew that would could do more, so he started his Action Days, a concept we greatly respect, encourage and hope keep spreading throughout the music industry. He launched The Permaculture Action Tour to test out the idea and damn, what a hit these 35 community bettering days were. Whether it’s teaching the community how to build freshwater catch basins, planting trees or meeting a specific community’s needs, TPA’s actions days are a prime example of how musicians and artists with the desire to make strides in positive global change can influence and encourage community building, activism and promote growth for individuals, groups and our wonderful earthly home. Not to mention, TPA’s action days are a guaranteed grand time with like minded humans looking to better the world.

This time around, The Polish Ambassador’s action day(s) fall in line with The City’s Repair Project‘s Village Building Convergence (VBC), which is an internationally renowned event bringing humans from all backgrounds together to enhance community, make cities more sustainable, create beautiful public art and most importantly, celebrate each other and the community. The VBC is ten days of getting your hands dirty with projects at FORTY sites citywide in Portland, Oregon (HOW COOL IS THAT?!). Each night features gatherings with yummy food, uplifting workshops and of course, wonderful music and DANCING!
