With an upbeat and organic collection of sounds, Templo has pleased our eardrums once again with his melodic glitch-hop style, this time in the form of Life Cycles, his first and latest EP of 2016. With some spliced up vocal samples bringing in somewhat of a hip hop feel, the first track ‘Abduction’ births us into an alien soundscape. As the title would suggest, ‘Crown of Leaves’ shifts to a more organic feel with some delicate fuzzy noises sliding around the speakers.
Next, ‘Gasmax’ progresses Templo’s style of accenting a clean bass with other experimental bass textures. Lastly, ‘Waterwhip’ finishes out the EP with some feel good squish. For a producer who’s been active only three years, Templo has already drawn a solid amount attention. With this new EP, ‘Life Cycles’ is sure to keep things going in a positive direction for him and to give you a nice little listen this Tuesday.
