[Artist Spotlight] Our New Favorite Shade of Gold – Goldfish at Euphoria Music Festival 2016

Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Goldfish is one unique LIVE electronic dance duo that we cannot wait to catch again at Euphoria Music Festival in Austin, Texas come April. The team, consisting of members Dominic Peters (Double Bass, Keyboards, Production) and David Poole (Saxophones, Flute, Production) met as music students surfing and playing music together in their hometown of Cape Town and since then have created quite the stir in the electronic music community. The duo produces an almost unheard organic house sound that can make even the skeptical dancer move their body. After locking themselves up in a room for a while, they recorded their debut ‘Caught in The Loop’ without any help and since then have received mounds of support from the worldwide dance scene craving something different and fresh. Scoring a residency on Friday nights at a super club in Ibiza, La Pacha, they were able to further their live sound and performance that can be displayed on their second album, ‘Perceptions of Pacha’.

With their popularity soaring, Goldfish have been gracing us with their live performances and sound in the United States more recently in the last few years, making appearances at some of our favorite fests in 2015: Wakarusa, Suwannee Halloween, Electric Forest, Northern Nights and more – and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

All we know is we haven’t been this stoked about a new electronic group in awhile and after catching them this last summer, It’s a set we are NOT missing at Euphoria! Check them out on Facebook and SoundCloud.
