Saint Tiimbre, a group hailing from the musical oasis known as the Bay Area, are a trio of supremely talented individuals. Combining the efforts of producer Amp Live, singer Natasha Adorlee Johnson and multi instrumentalist Julia Lewis, Saint Tiimbre are the musical hybrid we’ve been looking for. Their latest effort, Body Moves, is a five track EP that does just that – each track is a sparkling gem of dancing goodness, delivering that addicting endless summer vibe all in their own ways. If you aren’t ready to let summer go just yet, we highly suggest giving Body Moves some heavy listening.
Seductive and sexy, yet grinding with an upbeat bassline, Natasha Adorlee Johnson’s crystalline vocals create heaven on earth with the opening title track while also giving us a little taste of what the rest of Body Moves had in store for us. ‘Melts’ gives witness to Saint Tiimbre member Julia Lewis’ instrumental skills, where again Natasha’s vocals melt (no pun intended, listen for yourselves) like butter over Amp Live’s bouncy beat.
‘Get Away’ dives into the soulful depths of a sensual ‘tug and pull’ between lustful lovers, and ‘Free’ ends Body Moves with an ultimate Summer Forever anthem; ‘Living it up til the day I die cause I’m young and free’. Tight percussion and trippy vocal distortions in perfect harmony? We’ve officially found our favorite find of the summer – Better late than never, right?
