#ThrowBack Thursday [Photo Gallery]: Odesza Throwing Down at The Canopy Club | Urbana, IL

With the release of their sophomore LP, In Return, American electronic duo, ODESZA, has taken the world by storm.  Odesza is on the last leg of their nearly sold out tour, but earlier in the year they made a stop in the college town of Champaign-Urbana, IL, home of The Canopy Club, for an intimately sold out show.  The duo consisting of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight brought a stellar live show that kept the audience dancing into the wee hours of the night.  Their use of live drum instrumentals adds a surprising element to the show, and makes it clear they’re able to feed off the energy of the crowd, creating remixes on the fly.  They played crowd favorites like “How Did I Get Here”, “My Friends Never Die”, and their remix of ZHU’s “Faded.”  Odesza’s mind-bending visuals were a mix of pulsating geometric shapes and nature shots and when it ended, it left you wanting more.  They rounded out the night with an encore of “Say My Name”, the hit song from their newest album, ‘In Return’.  Odesza gave an electric performance and they don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.

Put on their new album, flip through the gallery, and pretend you were there.

We can’t wait to see these guys performing at Lightning in a Bottle this coming May! You don’t want to miss it. Passes can be bought here!
