Fresh off their tour with Fun., Miniature Tigers will be heading to Stubb’s Barbeque in Austin TX on August 6th to promote their newest album, Cruel Runnings. Online magazine Death + Taxes awarded their first EP four stars and coined the band as ‘terribly endearing’, and it’s no wonder why. With their upbeat style and dreamy sound they have become one of the premiere musical acts to check out this summer.
They will be joined by the Griswolds out of Sydney, Australia as support. These Aussies describe themselves as “tequila-inspired party pop”, making us even more set on arriving early to catch their set. They last graced Austin with their catchy, harmony-driven melodies during this year’s SXSW in March, and were recently signed with one of the largest indie-rock labels in the business; Wind-Up Records. Also performing on the bill are up and coming brooding indie rockers The Finish Ticket. They’ve just released their debut album, Tears You Apart, which was stunningly produced by Rilo Kiley’s Pierre de Reeder. Given all the momentum behind these bands, this show should turn out to be one of the more exciting nights of the summer!
This is an ALL AGES show. Tickets are $12 for advance general admission, and can be purchased here. As of this post, there are still tickets available, but they wont be for long! I strongly suggest grabbing your tickets while you can, and breaking away from your monotonous work week by adding a little excitement into your life on Wednesday night. Doors are at 8pm.
