FiYah’s ‘Fragments’ was given a wash by duo Kyral X Banko last week, and it’s the sleazy banger experimental bass heads have been waiting for. Crafting uptempo rhythms with speed, a firing of arpeggiator synths let us know right away to expect some massive sound design. The newly Denver based duo have built a solid […]

After recently lacing up REZZ’s ‘Green Gusher’ track with some galactic sauce, Homemade Spaceship is intent on keeping the bangers coming, and last weeks’ transmission arrived in the form of ‘Aliens’. A staple in the producer’s live sets, I’d heard this song several times and always wondered when it would be released, and that day […]

Boasting filthy bangers from rising producers like Shlump, Esseks, Chase Manhattan, Selby, VNDMG and more, West Coast Bass Vol 2 just became our new favorite mix. Each of these sixteen tracks have been curated by Stylust Beats himself, a complete master at song selection, so you already know this will be a heater. Filled with […]

KAYTRANADA, yes all capitals, is one of the most talked about names on the electronic bass scene right now. The Montreal beat maker, whose real name is Kevin Celestin, first blew up when he put his own spin to Janet Jackson’s ‘If’, creating an upbeat and irresistibly grooving track. Like the flames of a wild […]

It’d seem as though watching sets by Templo, Thriftworks and Russ Liquid just last weekend at the Gem and Jam Festival simply wasn’t enough – we couldn’t help but crave more of that unique downtempo/experimental bass sound that these three artists are known to throw down. So last Wednesday, we found ourselves exactly where everyone else in […]

There are very few concerts that make a warming and everlasting impression on your heart, but last Friday at Cervante’s Masterpiece Ballroom was just that. Upon entering the venue, the feeling was immediately mutual: we were all in store for a night of otherworldly, divine bass bliss. Though each artist on the billing had their […]
