One of our all-time festival favorites Gem & Jam will mark its 16th year over the weekend of February 2nd to February 4th, 2024. Coming at us with a vibrant array of music, art, and a hard-to-top experience, there is a reason this beloved gathering is such a memorable time every single year.
Taking place among the scenic desert landscape at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, Arizona, Gem & Jam features a diverse selection of music, art, and mineral-focused delights to ignite all of your senses and keep you grooving with pastel skies and mountain views setting the vibe.
The 2024 Gem & Jam Music Lineup
The 2024 lineup is stacked with HUGE headliners, including Philly-bred jamtronicers The Disco Biscuits, bass king Of The Trees, the intoxicatingly brilliant LP Giobbi – all making their G&J debuts. Veteran players of the festival include funk-fusion rocketeers, Lettuce, Arizona’s own Spafford, and electro-soul staples Break Science and Daily Bread. To keep the rhythm pumping, the festival will host not one, but two sets by bass queen Maddy O’Neal, who will display her newer MadHaus house-based set this year.
The primetime musical acts don’t stop presenting themselves with rowdy blues-rock Andy Frasco and The U.N., Michal Menert, The Main Squeeze, Too Many Zoos, Gone Gone Beyond, Mr. Carmack, Dimond Saints, lespecial, Vincent Antone, the Sam Grisman Project, and so many more. That’s the thing we love most about Gem & Jam – they offer such a wide range of genres so that literally every type of music lover can get something they absolutely love while also discovering a performance they may not have thought they would be into.

So Where Do I Stay?
As for lodging options at the festival, Gem & Jam is one that has a selection for every kind of camper (or non-camper). The festival sits on a gorgeous 640-acre property just 20 miles from downtown Tucson so you can opt to hotel it in town or make it a true experience and stay on site. The magical setting is ideal for late, cool nights bundled in your favorite furry coat giggling until dawn with the squad.
There are quite a few camping choices from glamping to RV sites to kicking it old school in your tent! As far as glamping goes, G&J offers reserved spots in a shaded campsite on grass with luxury tents that sleep two comfortably and comes inclusive with an inflatable mattress, bedding, furniture, space heater, and electricity.
Another top-tier move we adore about this festival is that they partner with Green Disco, an environmental festival organization to improve the festival’s eco footprint and give the audience a chance to make less of an impact with their fun-filled weekend. Gem & Jam attendees can buy a Green Disco Eco-Band – an optional ticket add-on that unlocks a 10% discount on merchandise and supports the festival’s goal of planting over 500 trees locally in Tucson through the Million Trees project.
