Brooklyn Comes Alive returns for two days of super jam greatness | September 23rd + 24th, 2017 [#DroolMode]

Brooklyn Comes Alive 2017

Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24 the funk and jams will be returning to Brooklyn for another round of one-of-a-kind collaborations. This year’s artist roster is far more stacked than last year’s, ringing in a whole new spectrum of talent, while still bringing back fan favorites such as members from The Disco Biscuits, Kung Fu, Jason Hann and many more. We look forward to see how Brooklyn Comes Alive’s new additions will form into their individual supergroups. Jesse Miller and Mike Greenfield of Lotus certainly grab our attention off the bat. Who else would like to see them do something similar to last year’s Breaking Biscuits set? Or maybe sit on another Jason Hann Rythmatronix set?

In addition to the Lotus members, we are stoked to see that festival favorites Russ Liquid, KJ Sawka, Andrew Block, Muzzy Bear, and Sunsquabi will be joining the party. We can already hear the tasty licks ringing off Muzzy’s and Block’s guitars and we are already prepping for a Russ Liquid trumpet sermon. There is one thing that seems to be missing though…where the hell are the Coomes Brothers and Borahm Lee?? We need more Lett-Science collabs! Last year, one of our highlights of the whole fest was during the J Dilla tribute set, when Borahm Lee’s laptop took a grim looking fall all the way off his stage keyboard onto the general admission floor and as the crowd collectively winced in pain, Lee smiled, laughed it off and kept shredding off into the stratosphere on his Prophet 6 synthesizer. One of the coolest and most collected cats in the game! We want them back!

Overall though, this years Brooklyn Comes Alive lineup is jam packed and going to be one for the books. We couldn’t be more excited to be back in Brooklyn witnessing the onstage improvisational magic. You can view the full artist lineup and buy tickets here: http://www.brooklyncomesalive.com/
