The number of music festivals coming out of the woodwork is insane – and it’s easy to get disillusioned by the same lineup repeats. Sound on Sound stands high above the ranks in this category, because they’ve just unveiled THE sexiest lineup we’ve seen in years. If an appearance by indie masters Yeah Yeah Yeahs doesn’t absolutely do it for you, true hip-hop talents such as Vince Staples, Kydd Jones and NONAME will be joining Sound on Sound as well, and Electric Wizard are appearing for their only US date of the year. The fact that we’ll be taking in all of the epicness at the renaissance faire is almost too good to be true.
Metal masters Sleep, Cannibal Corpse and Converge will be rounding out the eclectic roster, while Poolside, The Shins and Washed Out will be providing experimental dreamscapes. Festival producers Margin Walker are stellar curators, and they’ve got the know how to throw an amazing festival. Last year was one for the books, and we know they’re going to up the ante this time around.
Sound on Sound is a literal dream come true, and any music lover should be scrambling to be apart of this once in a lifetime weekend. Tickets are officially on sale, and you bet your ass they’re set to sell out.
