The 3 ‘Berry’s’ you want to be a part of in 2017 [Event Preview]

If you have not had the pleasure of attending a festival curated by Deadhead Productions yet, your festival game has a lil’ work to do. Deadhead Productions is a music festival and artist promotion company in the business of throwing small, Grateful Dead Centric events, featuring the best regional and national Grateful Dead tribute bands as well as popular jam bands. They throw some damn amazing events in and around Ozark, Arkansas, as well as booking Grateful Dead related acts at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We are beyond grateful for being able to attend two of the three berry amazing festivals DHP threw last year and are here to tell you NOT TO MISS NEXT SUMMER’s BERRY-full lineup of DHP festivals (well, mostly Summer). Tickets for all three fests are on sale now and for a steal of a deal to boot.

Let us start with the venue for all three festivals: The Farm. The Farm is located in the breathtaking Ozark Mountains of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The Farm offers 360 views of rolling Ozark hills and beautiful greenery and backs up to the Mark Twain National Forest. The Farm offers a variety of beautiful camping options, restroom facilities and lots of LOVE! Just a short drive down to the river and you can go take a dip or kayak trip to add some aquatic activities to your Farm experience.

Phunkberry: The first of the Berry’s takes place the weekend of May 5th-7th and features the best of funk and jam for three fun-filled days. For a taste of what Phunkberry will offer attendees, last year’s lineup rocked Dumstaphunk, Kung Fu, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, Groovement and many more in the phunky realms. More info here.

Highberry: The second of the Berry’s happens Fourth of July weekend and is probably the best 4th you can give yourself and your loved ones. The dates for 2017 have been announced as June 30th- July 2nd. Highberry was one of our favorite festivals last Summer and the crowd, lineup and venue made that possible (here’s our review). Find more info here.

Hillberry: Hillberry is the special Harvest Moon Festival that will happen October 12th-15th, 2017. Last October’s festival was so very special. You can read about our time there here. Thrown in partnership with Railroad Earth, Hillberry is something you do NOT want to miss if you like bluegrass, jam bands, folk, americana, cold beers, camping, the Harvest Moon, being surrounded by the best vibes or having fun. More info here.
