For many Coloradoans it can be a challenge deciding how to spend our precious weekends. Do you plan a camping trip? Explore and enjoy the beautiful wilderness in our backyards? Stick around the city and hit up our countless breweries, bars, and eateries? Enjoy an amazing show and discover great music? Get physical with yoga classes?
Thankfully, Campout for the Cause has made weekend planning easy by including all of the above in a three day long festival in an amazing location from May 21st to the 24th. This unique annual festival on the banks of the Colorado River at Rancho Del Rio in Bond offers three days of camping, music, yoga, lifestyle workshops, and paddle boarding lessons. If that wasn’t enough to make you stop reading this and load up your car, the festival donates 100% of its proceeds to its non-profit partners, American Rivers, The Eagle Valley Land Trust and All Hands Volunteers, which are all humanitarian and environmental conservation organizations. “Campout is all about going back to our roots. It’s a gathering that’s really anchored by authentic artists who create from the heart and understand the importance of community and giving back,” says Scotty Stoughton, founder of Campout For The Cause and owner of Bonfire Entertainment, from the event’s website.
This couldn’t be a more perfect event for the adventure seeking, active, and family friendly festival-goers out there! This three-day festival has an almost endless list of educational programs and physical activities alongside music acts such as Elephant Revival, Gregory Alan Isakov, Fruition, and many more. Yogis from Denver and Boulder area will offer their expertise and guidance in many levels of yoga classes along with belly dancing and Acro Yoga. Holistic living seminars taught by Heath Perry will teach you how to live a more sustainable, balanced and holistic life, while hand drumming circles with Jake Wolf will allow you to access your inner musician in a fun and non-judgmental environment. And don’t forget Stand Up Paddle clinics are included in the price of your ticket! Instructors, helmets, boards, and life vests are available for use to all festival attendees who want to take advantage of the riverside location and try a new sport. This year, Campout For The Cause is debuting its Bonfire Lounge, which offers libations, coffee, and a stage alongside a roaring fire. And don’t forget, kids under 12 years old get free admission for the whole weekend!
So, if you need an excuse to get out to Bond, Colorado this weekend, look no further than Campout for the Cause, where you can enjoy a scenic river campsite, hone your strength with yoga, learn valuable holistic life skills, listen to excellent music, all while contributing to the well being of our community and the environment.
