Leah Chisholm, better known as LP Giobbi, first gained popularity in the live music circuit in 2017. Less than 10 years later, she’s a household name – at least in her home state of Oregon. The Eugene-born musician is known for her addictive fusion of piano laden house productions, combining her classical jazz training with heart pumping dance beats. LP Giobbi is also co-founder of Femme House, a music education nonprofit that offers free workshops, networking events and production courses to expand opportunities for female producers.
Upon her announcement to hit Realm PDX, Portlands’ newest high production EDM venue, tickets sold out quickly. Not only were we getting a hometown LP Giobbi set, but a special ‘In the Round’ performance with fans completely surrounding the stage in a 360 experience. This was our first LP Giobbi set, and it only took the night to reveal why she’s one of the most sought after producers in the industry. Exhilarated fans carried in sunflowers (the producers’ favorite), handing them off from the barricade, and a bouncing, beaming Leah did what she loves most with her proud parents cheering her on. Her authentic love of live music is palpable, resulting in a transformative energy that fans can feel and revel in. Inspired by her parents’ deep reverence for the Grateful Dead, it’s evident that her music journey is a mission to spread love from stage to stage with music as the bridge. Not only did we dance all night and meet and selfie with new friends, but leaving the venue felt like waking from a wonderful dream following the world LP Giobbi created.
