The raddest fest in Austin, Texas, is back next month for three full days of masterfully fused psychedelic bliss and mayhem. This year, the incendiary Levitation festival touches down at a brand new venue — The Palmer Events Center. The lineup of music somehow gets better every year – and after the fest, you can choose from legendary options of night shows taking place at a curated selection of Austin’s best venues.
From Friday, September 26, through Sunday, the 28th, the new home provides even more room to play. A massive indoor stage offers 360-degree visuals for ultimate vibes, while the outdoor stage allows for zero overlaps in the schedule. Don’t forget that this fest also brings their insane selection of 10 visual and interactive artists, the famed Levitation record and merch store, vintage clothing vendors, delicious local fare and beverages – and what is sure to be a whole lot of surprises for the dedicated fan base.
THIS WEEKEND ONLY (AUGUST 22-24th) – Levitation is selling fee-free tix — so grab yours now and save some bux. If you cannot make it all weekend, single-day tickets are also available.
Musical showcasings include Acid Bath, The Sword, Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, La Femme, Pavement, The Black Angels, and Being Dead – just to name a few. If you haven’t fully dived into the art these bands make, we highly suggest picking any name(s) you haven’t heard of and giving them a spin. Your brain and eardrums will thank you.
The party will continue after the fest ends each night at collaborating downtown venues – Stubb’s, Radio/East, Mohawk, Elysium, Kingdom, 13th Floor, and 29th St. Ballroom. Programming starts early on Wednesday and Thursday with acts like Mdou Moctar, Beach Fossils, Boy Harsher, Starjunk 95, and many more kicking off one of the best weekends of the year in the music capital of the world.
