6 Ways Resonance Music and Arts Festival Will Transform Your Festival Experience | September 22nd – 24th, 2016

It’s not often a music festival comes along that is fueled by compassion and community and is driven by art and transformation. However, the folks over at Essential Productions have continued to put together collections of artists, musicians and creators in a way that has positively grown into a grand transformational event. Resonance Music and Arts Festival will be held September in 22-24th in Thornville, OH at the historic Legend Valley. Here are six ways Resonance will transform your festival experience.

The Season

While the majority of the festivals in the Midwest occur during the steamy months of summer, Resonance falls just after the Fall Equinox. This means perfect climate for a music festival as seasons blend and transition. Mild sunny days and comfy sweater weather at night. Soak up the autumn breeze and watch the leaves start to change while enjoying great music with best friends.

The Self

As the seasons change it’s important to learn and grow along with them. Resonance will offer tools to aid in that transformation and growth. Over the years this festival has provided some original and fulfilling wellness workshops.  Past workshops included laughter yoga, conscious entrepreneurship, tree shaking, as well as yoga and meditation.

The Perception

Resonance is just as much about the art as it is the music. Expect the festival grounds to be littered with bountiful masterpieces. Art can be a matter of perception and Essential Productions have recruited some of the best Midwest artists and creators to help transform attendee’s perceptions of beauty. Live painting and finished works from intricate, psychedelic artists like Logan Walden, Gavin Gerundo and John Ckirk will be on display throughout the weekend.

The Attitude

Festival creators and organizers have done a tremendous job creating a Resonance community based on positivity and co-creation. However, the festival relies on its attendees to keep the positive momentum going. Therefore, it’s not uncommon to be greeted with a plethora of smiles and hugs before even making it to the campsite. Resonance is a smaller festival filled with friendly and helpful peers, so while you might not know anyone walking in, as long as you keep an open mind, you will walk out with many new friendships and unforgettable experiences.

The Atmosphere

As the festival continued to blossom, Resonance moved from their initial location at Frontier Ranch to Legend Valley last year. This year, the event returns to the historic site as organizers aim to create a utopian festival atmosphere. The venue area contains two stages side by side meaning there is no need to run from stage to stage to catch your favorite act, you can literally just turn your head. Arrive early enough and attendees can camp inside the main venue bowl and not even have to leave the campsite to hear the music. Surrounded by an abundance of trees and forests along Ohio’s rolling hills, Legend Valley transforms the idea of traditional music festival grounds in an amazing way.

The Music

This lineup is stacked from top to bottom including Papadosio x3, Shpongle, Keller Williams with EOTO, Ott x2, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong x3, Phutureprimitive, Desert Dwellers alongside many more. As if that wasn’t enough to peak interest, a few of the other bands on the lineup will be transforming their sets into parts of music history. Be sure to catch The Heavy Pets pay tribute to The Beatles, or see a 90’s Hip-Hop tribute set from Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band. In addition, headlining jamtronica group Dopapod will be treating fans to a Pink Floyd inspired block of music.

Start the fall season on a positive note. Resonance is built for the conscious-minded and celebrated with a like-minded awareness while being accompanied by a stellar lineup of artists and musicians. Come to Resonance Music and Arts Festival for the music but stay for the transformation.
