[New Music Monday] Manchester Producer Frameworks Releases Newest LP, Tides

Earlier this week I decided to give a new album, Tides, that seemed to be taking over my social networking feeds, a listen. Matt Brewer is producing under the name Frameworks, and bringing his own complex instrumental and melodic compositions all the way from Manchester. The rising producer recently dropped his newest album, Tides, in the last week of March.

Rioghnach Connolly supplies his haunting vocals on ‘Calm the Still Night’ , floating nicely over up-tempo beats, and the beautiful addition of string instruments gives the track a polished and soothing feel. Frameworks switches it up a bit for his track ‘Tides’; I found myself wanting to spin my hoop and dance to the ethereal, light tones featured in the song. The album seems to be largely based on a strong instrumental foundation combined with the perfect layers of weird noises and lively beats, ultimately rounding out the unique sound that Frameworks has carved out for himself. No Place to Hide Away’, which is now my favorite track, features soulful vocals from JP Cooper that truly embody the definition of beauty. I’m feeling extremely grateful that I finally gave Tides a listen – it’s become a perfect soundtrack for my hooping and meditation, and if this EP is any indication, I see huge things in the future for Frameworks! I definitely urge you to give the full EP a listen on his SoundCloud!
