Daily Dose of Inspiration, brought to you by CYM

///Nothing beats a boost of positivity to start your day off. even if it’s something as small as a couple of words to meditate on. Sometimes life’s ups and downs can affect you more than usual, and it can be easier to maintain a negative mindset once a bad mood is on the rise. That’s called being a victim to pessimism, and it’s unhealthy! Little things add up and create unnecessary tension…. Who’s got time for that? Daily Dose of Inspiration is my way of not only keeping my own spirits up, but extending that positive energy  to a larger audience – you guys! – as well.

“This being human is a guest house. Every morning is a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor…Welcome and entertain them all. Treat each guest honorably. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.” – Rumi

Crystals are some of the oldest living organisms on earth; it only makes sense that their  powerful and unique life force power is incomparable to anything else. Spending a few hours everyday meditating with different stones for their natural healing properties can provide you with a clearer state of mind, improved mental state and overall improvement of happiness. This one pictured above is one I have been carrying with me quite often lately. It’s called Chrysocolla, and has a long history of being a stone of peace and tranquility. It particularly aids in dispersing feelings of fear, tension and brings up inner strength. It was said that Cleopatra always carried this stone because of these properties. It’s well-known in Native American history for enhancing creative energy, drive and determination.

Check out ThatCrystalSite.com for more info, it’s one of my favorites when it comes to getting to know new stones :)

This amazing painting, done by Krista McKenzie, is absolutely stunning. Combining her love of surrealism and striking imagery, this is one of my favorite creations of hers. Lucky is the girl that snagged this Krista Darling original and wakes up to it every day. Our feature on her artwork will be up this week! Check out her Facebook page for the awesome giveaway she just announced! She’ll be sending 10 people selected at random to receive quirky, homemade gifts with her signature KD style all over it. How sweet is that?! Swoon.
